Are you looking for great insights, well-researched articles or some inspiration in the realm of UX, then Twitter is a great tool. Of course, finding the right people to follow can be somewhat cumbersome. That is why I curated a list of 21 UX experts who inspire me and keep me up to date with the latest UX news!
Who. Kristina Halvorson is the CEO and founder of Brain Traffic, a world-renowned content strategy consultancy. Onstage, Kristina is a celebrated speaker, well-known for her humorous, practical, and inspiring talks. She is also the founder of Confab, the first U.S. conference dedicated to the topic of content strategy.
Why. Her personal Twitter account is about, well, a lot of personal things such as her two children. If you are more interested about her work, you should follow the Braintraffic account.
Who. As the user experience design lead for MailChimp he manages a team of UX designers, design researchers, and front-end developers who work on the mainline product and other products as well. He writes about design for industry publications including A List Apart, UX Mag, and Think Vitamin.
Why. His tweets are a collection of interesting articles, books and conferences. A bit of everything really but still absolutely worthy of being mentioned in this list.
Who. An award-winning user experience leader with a track record of developing and mentoring design teams and integrating them into complex organizations. Patrick runs the well known blog Usabilitycounts.com and uxdrinkinggame.com, which is a fun iPhone Application about the daily UX problems you encounter at work.
Why. Super insightful and resourceful Twitter feed, combined with the UX Drinking Game. Love it.
Who. Laura fell in love with technology in 1995 when she watched her first usability test. Since then, she’s been an engineer, UX designer, and product manager for companies of all sizes. She is also the author of “UX for Lean Startups“. These days, she works with product teams to help them learn from their users and turn those insights into products people love and use. On top of that, she’s a speaker and organizes UX workshops.
Why. Her chatty Twitter feed is continually updated and includes many helpful UX links, insights and fun facts.
Who. Catalina Naranjo-Bock is a senior user experience researcher at Google, where she leads the Kids and Family vertical at Google Play. Prior to this, Catalina worked at YouTube, where she lead the UX research team. Catalina’s UX design and research career has led her to be part of creative teams in the the US, Europe, Canada, and South America at companies like Google, Yahoo, LEGO, Nickelodeon, and Intel.
Why. Many of her articles were published at Smashing Magazine, UX Magazine, etc and she wrote an article for our blog as well, which is titled “Using Paper Prototyping as a Tool for Participatory Design Research“. She tweets non-stop about everything that is interesting in the field of UX.
